Due to the death of my father the borrower from XXXX he was unable to meet his obligations to the mortgage company. We have tried relentlessly to resolve any issues with the lender. The extreme amount of stress has been overwhelming for myself and my family. Probate took a very prolonged period of time and when finally completed the lender set to auction our home without letting us explore any resolutions to retain our home. When we were given the opportunity due to the DOB delaying the sale we got everything together and began working with a HUD counselor. From XXXX XXXX it has been a complete nightmare. I have sent in all required documentation that has been requested on multiple dates through email, fax and with a HUD counselor. I am continually told they Dont have all documentation requested, I have evidence to the fact that they in fact do. A complete modification package was sent on XX/XX/2023 they have not even reviewed it. Carrington did receive it and it was confirmed. They plan to Auction our home on XXXX XXXX On every day this week starting Monday XX/XX/2023 I was told by representatives that they will escalate this to a supervisor and call back, send documents again and again Fax-email but then they tell me the case is closed. No one has an answer or updates just that there sorry it will have to be escalated to a supervisor. There are 5 of us in the home and we have been trying to resolve this but are getting no where and Carrington Mortgage refuses to work with us, we just keep getting fed a line. All we want is to resolve this and move forward. We would like very much to remain in our home and work with the lender but it seems hopeless as the right and left hands do not seem to be working with this company. Today I was told send documents again? If they are not willing to postpone the Auction and give us a fair review for modification, its confusing to have a representative say send them again. She will escalate to a supervisor.
