For several months, I have been receiving daily robo-calls from a variety of numbers that XXXX tells me all belong to Portfolio Recovery Associates , a debt collector. I don't answer, and no message is ever left. I have never received any written notice from this company specifying what they believe I owe. In fact, I owe no one anything. I have checked my most recent credit reports and those of my husband. Neither Portfolio Recovery nor anyone else ( except for our mortgage holder ) is listed as a creditor. Neither of us has any late payments -- both my husband and I have credit scores above 800. XXXX has also informed me that Portfolio Recovery is an unethical and problematic company, which is why I haven't tried to settle this with them. I have no desire to engage.
