This has to do with a Macys XXXX XXXX account credit card that was opened in XXXX at the store. I signed up for paperless statements, made a purchase for {$19.00}. Did not receive my paperless statement nor a paper statement. Called to make a payment Could not do so without the account number which I did not have. Then tried to make a phone payment using the XXXX number and account number for my bank account. Thought it went through however it did not. I called and spoke with XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX who informed me that the phone payment did not go through. Made the payment for the purchase less the fee which I told her I was doing on that same day. Continue to get statements with continued fee charges. Sent a message to secured email with same details however, no resolution to date a they are trying to charge {$190.00} for a a {$19.00} purchase. Original payment was due on XX/XX/XXXX. Phone payment was attempted on XX/XX/XXXX. Since it did not go through a payment was made on XX/XX/XXXX, when I called on XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX did not inform me that she was able to waive 2 late fees in which case the only balance due wouldve been the payment for the purchase of {$19.00}. Now after several follow ups, I learned that they will waive two late fees ; however on a much larger balance, due to all the fees theyve added onto the account statement.
