Consumer Narrative
Please refer to the files uploaded below for a detailed description of what happened to me. I want to note the following as well : Last Friday afternoon, I noticed a seemingly fraudulent XXXX transfer from my XXXX Bank account to someone with my wife 's name. While the account only had {$1.00} in it, nearly {$500.00} was transferred out, leaving a negative balance of nearly $ ( XXXX ). My wife never received that money, and I never authorized the transfer. XXXX Bank 's fraud unit is still trying to figure out whether it was just a glitch, or whether criminal activity occurred. It would be premature at this point for me to jump to any conclusions. That account is now closed due to suspicion of fraud.
