On XXXX I deposited a check for {$390.00}. Initially Chase said the my funds wouldnt be deposited on the XXXX and then changed it to XXXX. After speaking with customer service, they were able to contact the issuing bank and verify the check. However the two representatives I spoke with both claimed that they could not verify the check makers number in their private system and still refuse to give me access to my funds or cancel the deposit so that I can cash my check elsewhere. They also refuse to call the company that issued the check in the first place because none of the numbers can be verified in their system. One rep told me that the verified number is the one that the company uses to register their business with the state. However, even after I looked up that number, they continue to tell me its not verified.
