Consumer Narrative

I got my debit card hacked and two transactions went through on XX/XX/2023, one of {$84.00} and the other {$84.00} for a total of {$160.00}. The vendor was a XXXX in Arizona. I am a Massachusetts resident. I let Bank of America know on XX/XX/2023 when I saw the pending transactions. They opened two claims XXXX and XXXX, both for the total of {$160.00}. Two packages from XXXX arrived at my house in XXXX and I let my parents know they were not ordered by me and asked them to hold onto them while this claim was being processed. But in XXXX my sister accidentally opened thinking they were ordered by me and found two screen protectors. The claim papers arrived at my house yesterday ( XX/XX/2023 ) saying the claim of {$160.00} was rejected because they claimed that the transactions were made by me or someone authorized to use my debit card and that I would be charged. I saw on the claim papers that the transactions were made by someone using my name, debit card number, and address ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX MA ). But they used a different email and phone number ( XXXX, XXXX ). The order ID was XXXX and the case number was XXXX. However, the claim papers showed the two transactions totaled {$84.00} for two screen protectors of {$39.00} plus a tax of {$2.00} for each. I understand I have to pay {$84.00} because those items arrived at my house and was opened. However, I do not know what the other {$84.00} charge is for and why its claim was rejected and will be charged to my account.
