I have been dealing with this nightmare for 7 years now. Macys and it's credit lenders are corporate bullies who pray on individuals. My Macys Credit Account was closed in XX/XX/XXXX. I was harassed and consistently bombarded by both Macys and a collection agency. I continued making payments on a closed account in good faith and I slowly noticed that Macys changed the information displayed on my credit report. In XX/XX/XXXX I realized they reported that my account was opened again even though it was indeed closed and I was not able to use my card again. It was clearly a relation move given the fact that I have made prior complaints to the CFPB and consumer agencies. At the end of XXXX, I called one of the many financials offices of Macys credit cards and offered to pay the {$500.00} in late fees that were accessed throughout time even thought I had already paid off my original balance. The associate on the phone said not to pay it because my balance is scheduled to drop off my credit report in XXXX. However today, XX/XX/XXXX, after calling 5 different departments, I learned that the company indeed reported that my account became delinquent in XX/XX/XXXX ( and not closed in XXXX ) and that it won't drop off of my report until XXXX!! When I asked what happened to my prior closure from XXXX, THEY SAID THAT THEIR SYSTEMS CAN NOT ACCESS DATA FROM XXXX! This is fraud and fraudulent activity in addition to targeted bullying. **Backstory on delinquency.. I changed jobs in XXXX and delayed on 2 months of pay on my Macys Card and they had no REMORSE. They immediately closed my account. I have an 100 % payment record on my credit report and prior to XXXX I ALWAYS paid my Macys account on-time. They are corporate bullies.
