I got an email from Rocket Mortgage that my mortgage servicing is being transferred. I called to see if there is anything I can do to keep Rocket Mortgage. I chose them for my business for a reason. Rocket Mortgage would do nothing. I find this practice to be very troubling. It's like I'm not an actual person. Companies can do whatever they'd like to make more money off of us. I don't understand how our government allows this practice. I had no choice of where my mortgage was sent to for servicing. I have paid every payment on time. I feel like if I had made some late payments, my account would have been " randomly chosen '' to be sold to a different company, because it would be an even more profitable account. This is like paying for a 5 star roofing company to install a new roof, but after contract is signed and the project is all ready to go, they sold the work to a 2 star company and you have no say now in who completes the roofing. You're getting your roof still, right? Please help the consumer on this. This isn't right. It's frustrating and can happen at no end, but we can't choose to transfer our mortgage elsewhere without refinancing and currently right now, that means paying more.
