On XX/XX/2023, I purchased a hotel reservation via XXXX for a stay XXXX. When I received the confirmation email for XXXX, I immediately called the vendor and reported the inaccuracy. This was done well within the 24-hour window, established for travel cancellations for any booking made in the USA. Much to my frustration, I had to argue with someone who barely spoke English, who was programmed with a machine like voice to tell me that the reservation is not subject to cancellation. The person knew nothing about the 24-hour window rule. Also, the vendor de facto had no way to address discrepancies due to its own software. I then had to purchase another reservation, and this time it was correctly dated. One of the two reservations, however, should be null and void.
