I started the loan process with Guaranteed Rate Affinity and was asked to pre-pay an appraisal fee of {$870.00} during the loan application process. After the appraisal was completed the fee noted on the appraisal was only {$350.00} ( page 4 of the attached appraisal ). The company 's own website states it should only be a " few hundred dollars '' and that there are no additional fees ( see attachments ). I contacted the loan officer who stated there were mistakes in the charges, and it would be refunded. Now the company and loan officer refuse to respond or refund the charges.
