On XXXX, I received a bill from a company called " Aidvantage '' ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, TX XXXX ) in the amount of {$96.00}. It stated it was a current amount of " INTEREST DUE '' for an account # XXXX. I have NEVER any type of loan with them! It further stated there was an unpaid principal of {$10000.00}. The bill also has a logo for the US Dept of Education in the top upper right hand corner. Their contact phone number is XXXX. I contacted them on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX and it first asked for my account number or social security information. I entered the account number. Then asked for " customer service. '' The line then dropped the call. This bill is absolutely fraudulent. My parents fully paid off my student loan years ago and even when you look at the student.gov website it does verify that my balance is XXXX. This company is trying to say I have an outstanding {$10000.00} balance and now is trying to collect {$10000.00} plus interest according to an interest schedule they also provided, thus explaining the first fee of {$96.00}. They are requesting my payment be sent to : Aidvantage- Department of Education Loan Servicing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX OR XXXX I would be happy to provide any other information you need to prove this fraudulent claim.
