submitted a complaint with Bank Of America. They had charged me a late fee of {$49.00} twice, once in XXXX and once in XXXX. The reason for the fee is when I paid my bill due by the due date- which was {$200.00} and I paid {$200.00} in XXXX and {$250.00} in XXXX when i paid {$250.00}. When making the payment there was not a warning that I was XXXX cents or XXXX cents short. I made the payment by the due date. So the charge was once day later as well. Upon submitting my compliant, a XXXX XXXX took weeks to respond, called me once and didn't return my call. And sent a letter stating he would not be refunding me the money. Bank of America should not be able to charge {$49.00} when the bill was paid on the due date. They shouldn't have a late fee for anything less than a dollar. I hop the cfpb will take action to audit this business practice.
