My husband is a 100 % total and permanent XXXX veteran ( through Veteran Affairs ) and we are 100 % exempt from paying property tax in the state of Florida. ( We are only required to pay XXXX XXXX taxes ). Our property tax bill was sent to our mortgage company and paid in XXXX. We had been paying approximately {$3800.00} to our escrow account for the yearly taxes until we could get the bill from the county. They apparently sent our escrow refund check XX/XX/XXXX and we have yet to receive any of that money. I keep getting blown off when I call being told " it takes XXXX days to receive this check ''. We also can not get them to re-do the escrow analysis to reflect that we do not pay property taxes, thus reducing my monthly mortgage amount by quite a bit. I keep getting the run-around from them and now and being told that it can take XXXX days to cut the second check which they've requested to be overnighted via XXXX. Not sure how an overnighted check takes XXXX days to get to me when it was originally requested XX/XX/XXXX. That's ridiculous. They also will not work with me to get my escrow re-analyzed so I can reduce my monthly mortgage.
