On XX/XX/2023 - I applied for a Cit Advantage Platinum Select Card after receiving an advertisement while checking out of an American Airline purchase. The advertisement specifically mentioned that I could use the card to " Pay Today '' and received a " {$200.00} '' statement credit and receive XXXX bonus miles. After following the advertisement, it was clear the bonus miles were dependent on a {$2000.00} in purchases during the first few months- which this ticket should qualify towards and I submitted the application and received approval. However, despite contacting Citi several times using there web-chat, phone, and escalating to a manger ; Citi representatives indicated there was no way to get temporary card numbers needed to " Pay Today '' and that I would have to wait for the physical card to be received 7-10 days later.
