On XX/XX/XXXX I was called by a verified Bank of America customer service number XXXX. The correspondent said his name was XXXX from the Bank of America fraud department. XXXX mentioned that there had been some activity on my account from Wisconsin. I live in XXXX, NC and had no connection. I was skeptical at the call but what had got me was the fact that XXXX knew the last XXXX digits of my social security number, date of birth, and last XXXX of my account number. After I complied with this caller, my account was wiped of {$3400.00}. I was very disappointed, because how can I trust any Bank of America number after this happened to me. I usually dont comply with calls like this but that fact that a correct Bank of America number called me 4 times spark a concern from me. I dont know if this is the right people to report this too but I am concerned not just for myself but for others who might be put in the same situation.
