I have had an account with PayPal for years and utilized their option to pay over time with no interest if paid off within 6 months. Recently despite several calls to the company each month requiring 30 or more minutes each time, they continue to allocate payments to the most recent charge, not the one that is required to be paid first in order to avoid accruing interest charges. There is no way on their site to allocate the payment amount yourself and despite repeated requests to pay off the charges by length of time posted, they continue to pay the most recent charge first, clearly in an attempt to catch the lender out and charge interest even though the amount should have been paid off.
