I have had a credit card with Bank of America since XXXX that I use quite often. Due to some financial difficulties, I was usually up towards the top of my credit limit, but would make at least my minimum payment on time. I was able to pay off my {$3900.00} balance in full this week, and when I went in to check my card it would not come up and I was told there was no account for my login and password. I went on to contact the number on my card and was bounced around to various people which seemed to be in the same area with no answers. I asked them who closed my account and why. I was told no one has that information and they couldnt tell me anything but I would get a letter at some point. For this to happen with no notice or backup information is ridiculous. I have essentially been punished for paying off my balance. If I continued to pay small amounts, I would have been able to use the card for {$100.00} each time or whatever. The fact that they would not provide me with any information or allow me to speak with a supervisor at any point when asked, is horrible.
