I went to make my monthly grocery purchase at Sam 's club. At the check out on that day only and only at sam 's club none of my bank or credit cards worked at check out ( those cards worked fine at the gas station before I went to Sam 's club and when I bought dinner after I left ). I was issues a Sam 's club credit card with a XXXX available credit line. The cashier sneared at me as if I was broke and told me I could get my groceries if I pushed yes on the key pad. I pushed yes. The statement came a month and a half later and I got a text message that I was late on my payments for my groceries. I was assessed at 29 % fee. When I received the text message, I immediately made a payment to pay off the entire amount of the groceries that I did not need to borrow in the first place. I did not close the account. Just paid off the entire balance plus the late fee. My account was then closed and a negative mark was made on my credit report for making late payments and an overdraft. The card was issued by XXXX Bank. I had money in my account. When I went through the line at Sam 's club there was no reason to issue me a credit, The statement was very slow to appear a charged me a late fee and financing fees, and now I have record of a canceled account overdrafted late fees on my credit. The entire account was only open about 2 months, I have contacted the credit agencies about this and attempt to contact synchrony Bank. I have been unable to reach any customer service agent because it says I do not have an account with them. Because of their predatory lending scam and the negative mark they've left on my credit, it affected my auto loan. I should have been able to get a 6 % auto loan but I had to get an 11 % auto loan. All in all about {$50.00} was stolen from me by synchrony Bank, but the total impact will be about XXXX because of their abusive credit behavior affecting my overall credit score impacting my auto loan.
