Consumer Narrative
To whom it XXXX concern, Bank of America opened a savings account and a credit card in my name without my consent. As a result, there are bank account and credit card fees being charged in my name, which if not paid, will affect my excellent credit status. This issue arose when my grandmother 's former employer, who banks with XXXX, initiated a transfer from their bank account to my bank account also at XXXX bank. I provided my grandmothers former employer a copy of a cancelled check from my XXXX Bank checking account. Soon after, I began receiving bank account and credit card statements from Bank of America. I have called Bank of America twice to request that the accounts are closed. They are requiring that I file an ID Fraud report, which I disagree with. I do not believe that this matter arose as a result of ID Fraud because Bank of America is the perpetrator, not my grandmother 's former employer. I believe that this matter arose as a result of Bank of Americas questionable business practices.
