I woke up to two emails from Bank of America, one saying an online application is in progress and the other one is its approved and a Safe Advantage banking account is opened. I went to my BoA mobile app and verified there was indeed a banking account opened along with my frequently used credit card. But I didnt authorize this checking account to be open, so I went ahead to call BoA, filed a claim and insisted them to close that checking account. The customer support call was through within 20min and they said the account was closed.
