Consumer Narrative

During the pandemic I applied for a loan through sun XXXX XXXX. Just like everybody else we were experiencing hard times during the pandemic. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX approve me for a {$3000.00} loan or so I thought. They claim to put it direct deposit in my account at Bank of America. I thought that everything was fine. I started to pay my overdue bills and my card kept shutting down so I would call the bank and ask them why they would shut my card down I did this XXXX times each time they unlocked my card. On the XXXX time that I called I was very very irritated because it was happening every time I use my card. When I contacted the bank I was put on hold for over XXXX minutes then I had a bank representative tell me if they were canceling my checking account they said it was because of a difference of opinion I was a banking customer with Bank of America for over 11 years I had a safe checking account with them. Needless to say I was completely dumbfounded. When I ask to speak to a supervisor or a bank XXXX I was denied and hung up on. Well of course I called back and demanded to speak to a bank XXXX I was told that it was a {$3000.00} claim supposedly made by me on my checking account and that they had given me a {$3000.00} credit. I was flabbergasted to hear this. I asked the bank XXXX why would they give me a {$3000.00} credit on a claim right away when before when I had made a {$20.00} claim because a machine charged my account twice they made me wait to complete the investigation before giving me my {$20.00} back. Why would they give me a {$3000.00} credit on a claim that I never made. I asked the bank XXXX who was it that made the claim did they ask for credentials or anything of that nature. Well with that I was flabbergasted I tried to contact XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX who I could not contact anymore. But I did manage to keep all the correspondence with them and I explained this to Bank of America who was supposed to protect my account with my safe banking. Well with that the money that I have spent on bills was now owed back to the bank for a claim I did not make. My account was shut down and they kept my direct deposit from Social Security to pay back this money. Then to top it all off they completely destroyed my credit and any other chance of continuing to bank with a reputable Bank. Bank of America is not that safe when they say safe banking. After calling constantly and trying to talk somebody with some sense that would help me with this matter. They allowed me to open up a new account with numerous restrictions. They still expected me to pay back what I had used for bills during the pandemic. Bank of America is not a good bank at all.
