For the past two years, I've been in a constant battle with identity theft. When I applied for the XXXX unemployment, I figured I didn't qualify because I never received anything in the mail and for some reason my XXXX sign in wasn't working. I really didn't pay it no mind until I read an article about how XXXX XXXX was still paying out people who didn't receive their XXXX during covid-19 and that it was possible that some people could qualify. I went to sign into my account and it was still locked out. Luckily I knew some of the questions that only I could remember but I had a hard time figuring those out as well. After the third try, I finally was given access to my account. The first thing I did was a change of address since I moved. When I started looking through my profile I was able to see claims of which I didn't file. I never received a debit card. Funds were being issued during the pua/ covid-19 season and I was having a hard time finding a job and could have used those funds to get by. I reached out to Bank Of America XXXX in late XXXX and told them that I never received any XXXX payments because i never got a statement or a debit card for that matter. I made XXXX claim disputes XXXX claim # XXXX in the amount of {$3100.00} XXXX claim # XXXX in the amount of {$11000.00} XXXX claim # XXXX in the amount of {$590.00} XXXX claim # XXXX in the amount of XXXX I received letters from Bank of America on XX/XX/2022 denying all my claim disputes. How is that if I never got a debit card to begin with? I asked for Bank of America to send me their reason and proof for their decision. I haven't received nothing yet. It's clear that I was a victim of a nation wide scam and for some reason BofA makes people feel like they are at fault or the criminal. That's not fair to the consumers who have been targeted and taken advantage of. BofA has a XXXX liability policy for debit card users. Well I never received a debit card until 2 weeks ago and I'm still being punished. I just want what is owed to my daughter and It's with me being a Widowed parent.
