Monday XX/XX/XXXX I applied for an vechicle XXXX XXXX XXXX in which i was approved But after email and phone conversation I am filing a complaint regarding my experience when trying to finance a vehicle with DriveTime I was approved online and upon speaking with XXXX from the XXXX Fl location he proceeded to tell me that a downpayment was required, compelling me to give him my social security number/card, and asking to verify my income. I expressed to him how that is a violation of 15 USC 1605 and that down payments aren't required when financing a vehicle. Compelling me to give my social security number is also a violation of 42 USC 408 ( 8 ) and in fact is a felony. Also the definition of Income according to 26 CFR 643 refers to stocks, bonds, trusts, and estates. As a consumer when obtaining goods for personal, family, and household purposes I can, t be denied credit and completed that application in good faith. There are multiple consumer violations and even though I have already been approved I haven't heard back from him which now I am being discriminated against. I have not had a pleasant experience and will seek legal action if this matter can't be resolved.
