Back in late XXXX I received an email from XXXX saying that the application for my new bank of America credit card was being processed, as soon as I saw that I called Bank of America and told them that the account created was not mine, and that I wasn't the one that opened it. They proceeded to tell me that they didn't have any account open with the info that I provided them- that being my name, the address they used, and an ( XXXX ) number. When I didn't get any answers from them I called XXXX and they opened an investigation as well as a freeze on my credit report. On XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from XXXX saying that a new account was posted on my credit report so I called XXXX again and they said that no dispute had been claimed before ; so I opened a new one and made sure it was filed this time alongside the freeze. Today XX/XX/XXXX I received an email saying that they had closed their investigation and that they concluded after talking to Bank of America that the account that was opened is mine and they can not take it off from my credit report or close it. I called again this morning and re-opened my claim, this time I will have this identity theft report to help me since I didn't have it last time.
