On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email from XXXX stating : XXXX has identified a change in your credit information. This could be the result of a new inquiry, line of credit or a change to an existing account. I then requested a credit report through XXXX to review my credit history. I noticed that the new account in question was for an Home Depot credit card that was open on XX/XX/XXXX with a balance of {$2900.00}. I contacted XXXX and requested a dispute. I contacted Home Depot to close this account and conduct a fraud investigation on XX/XX/XXXX. I also alerted the XXXX XXXX team to notify them that this was indeed fraud and request a security alert be added to my account so that I would be notified if any new attempts to open account happened.
