Consumer Narrative
On XX/XX/XXXX I had a cash withdrawal that was drawn out of two separate checking accounts in the amount of {$9500.00} and unauthorized by me, these were reported to the Bank of America fraud department within a few hours. On XX/XX/XXXX another 2 cash withdrawals were taken out of XXXX separate checking accounts in the amount of {$5300.00}, again unauthorized by me. Bank of America was again contacted within a few hours and gave me a case number and said they would investigate. After no correspondence about how the investigation was going, I went to the bank on XX/XX/XXXX to ask about the status of the original claim and to ask for a temporary credit, since I read it was customary for the bank to provide a temporary credit after 10 days. The bank representative told me that there were not a lot of notes on the case and the fraud department representative said they could not give me a temporary credit because of the nature of the withdrawal ( cash/check withdrawal ). On XX/XX/XXXX called the fraud department again asked for the status and a temporary credit. This time was told I was not able to get a temporary credit because the withdrawal slip that they pulled was not legible. This representative told me it should be resolved in the next few days. After hearing no updates, went into the bank in person on XX/XX/XXXX and was unable to talk with the fraud department because they were closed and the bank representative was unable to do anything since there was a freeze, lockdown on all the accounts.
