The first thing that happened was I received a letter on XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX. This is evidently a collection agency trying to collect a debt for a Bank of America card in the amount of {$1300.00}. I spoke with a XXXX XXXX at XXXX and we went over all the information he was able to give me about the charges on the card. He said the card was opened on XXXX and closed on XXXX. I never applied for the card, never received a card, never got a billing statement or any correspondence from Bank of America nor an email. These are not my charges nor my account. I didn't know the account number until I called XXXX XXXX and he gave it to me so I could further the investigation. This collection letter is the first I've heard anything regarding this issue.
