Consumer Narrative
Received several emails in early morning that someone attempted to open a Bank of America account in my name on XX/XX/22. I saw the emails and immediately contacted Bank of America who stated they closed the account due to suspecting fraud account. I was recently a victim of theft from my personal checking 's banking account. This person stole almost {$2000.00} or more I believe from my account, and I had to report that to the bank and the fraud detection with the bank. I was able to recover my actual funds and any penalties were removed but I am in the process of buying a home and I am afraid that someone is using my personal information trying to steal from me and use my information to steal from others.
