I received a card in the mail and was unsure why. I read on XXXX it could be anything from a promo to government benefits or money owes from previous jobs. I spoke with two people in customer service who were very well coached to not give me any answers except to activate my card or close my account. I said I didn't want to sign up for anything, but didn't want to close the account without knowing if someone was sending me money. They informed me they can't tell me unless I activate the card. I asked if they send promo cards and they would not answer me. I have no idea if I am supposed to activate this card, but it sounds like a scam to get me to sign up and well coached customer service who can only answer questions if I sign up.
