We had an HVAC installed in XXXX of XXXX, and were required to provide our CHASE VISA credit card because the company sent the wrong machine to our son 's home in XXXX, Oregon. Meanwhile, we had made arrangements with the company ( XXXX XXXX in XXXX, OR ) for an interest-free monthly payment plan with the bank ( XXXX Bank ) with which XXXX had XXXX special payment arrangement. Despite that consummated agreement, XXXX went ahead and charged the entire amount due ( {$9800.00} ) to our CHASE VISA card on XX/XX/XXXX. For some reason, CHASE did not deduct this amount from our credit union checking account until XX/XX/XXXX. We immediately protested and entered into a back-and-forth disagreement with CHASE that is STILL occurring in XXXX of XXXX - despite dozens of phone calls, faxes, letters, etc. demonstrating that we were, indeed, paying XXXX monthly. Meanwhile, efforts to get CHASE to talk to either XXXX or the owner of XXXX have been fruitless. CHASE continues to say that it is " our responsibility '' to pay the {$9800.00} '' to them. Also, all efforts to get XXXX XXXX to repay CHASE have been met with either denials or a lack of accurate payment/reversal information, due to terrible bookkeeping. We are senior citizens on a fixed income, and we face the threat of having our checking account drained by CHASE at any moment.
