Consumer Narrative

On Wednesday, XX/XX/XXXX my wife received multiple spoof texts and a call from what appeared to be USAA, our bank. Unfortunately, she shared, over the phone, some of her login information. Upon hanging up she realized something seemed off so she immediately called USAA. USAA 's fraud department confirmed this was fraud and helped her change her login information and change the address on our account back to our proper address. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, we noticed massive withdrawals from our checking account. We, once again, immediately called USAA only to find out nothing was changed in their system as promised and that a new card and credit card were sent to the fraudsters. We are still on the phone with them now but are getting the runaround. No one takes accountability over there. As a side note, when our son turned XXXX they shut access to his account off with no warning and it took nearly two months to resolve that. They are a disaster right now.
