My Chase card was double charged for {$10000.00} USD by the XXXX XXXX in XXXX on a XXXX stay for 6 rooms and the Hotel had already charged my XXXX XXXX Credit card. I paid the XXXX XXXX card and immediately notified Chase of the error in XX/XX/2022. I sent Chase documentation to show XXXX XXXX was already paid and also sent them the email from the hotel GM and Finance manager saying they would issue a credit to Chase, which they have not done yet. I have called Chase every month since as they have " investigated '' the issue and each time the representative would ask me for additional documentation which I would fax or upload within 24 hours. Chase would send form letters that I received about three weeks later which would prompt me to call them again. Chase has just informed me that although they see XXXX XXXX was paid, there is nothing they can do because it took so long for them to resolve and they want me to pay them too. I told them the reason it took so long is because of them taking 5 months, not me as I gave them whatever info they asked for within 24 hours. I have copies of all the documentation I sent them. Today, 6 months later, Chase is telling me I need to pay them and get the money back from the Hotel. I explained that I am in the middle of the transaction and that's their responsibility not mine as I don't know if in fact the hotel hasn't already credited them back. They threatened to put me in collection if I didn't pay them and ruin my XXXX credit score and I made them aware I sue them for damages besides getting this this to every consumer protection agency.
