Consumer Narrative

This morning, I received an email that a Bank of America account had been opened with my credentials. After thoroughly researching the email address, content, and cross checking with BOA, I was indeed able to confirm that it was legit. I immediately notified the fraud department there that supposedly shut everything down, and informed me that there were no charges or activity. ( It was only about XXXX hours before I had caught it and shut it down. ) The worst part, is that I have had a long term freeze on all of my credit reports/accounts, yet somehow, the BOA platform allowed and approved an online creation without any form of photo or personal verification.
