Started on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. tried to use activated card an purchase denied. Called Bank of America and they said there was no problem, go ahead and use card. Tried again and still did not work. Called again and said everything ok. tried again after very long wait and still nothing. Had to use other means to pay... very embarrassing. This happened several times over the following weeks. I have made many calls and wasted many long minutes ( hours? ) dealing with problems not of my origin. On XXXX, XXXX, I tried to make my first payment and found it virtually impossible on the App without starting a Banking account. Everything led to starting a bank account. Tried to make payment using my Debit card, but they refused. Finally had to call and give my Bank account and routing number to make the payment. Accidentally gave wrong account number but was not informed until the XXXX, after payment was late. Bank of America then put a hold on my account and lowered my limit BELOW what had been purchased, then wanted a larger payment. ( XXXX XXXX ). Called and spent another 40 minutes giving correct info and making payment. Card has been on hold since, and limit lowered. Called again on XXXX and arranged for hold lifted and limit restored. They approved and additional XXXX dollars as well added to limit. I was told to wait two days to take effect. Monday, XXXX, XXXX, still unable to use card. Called again and was told that I would be receiving a letter denying the request, even though it had supposedly been approved the previous Friday. I have been put into too many difficult and embarrassing situations because of this bank card, and will never recommend this Bank OR card to anyone.
