Consumer Narrative

On XXXX XXXX2022 I applied for an accepted credit card through Chase Bank application Number : XXXX for a Chase Freedom Card and was wrongfully denied. I then received a letter from Chase dated XX/XX/2022 stating that the reason for the denial was because " Too many request for credit or opened accounts with us '' I found this statement to be obscene language 15 U.S.C. 1692d ( 2 ) as I the consumer was hurt at such a frivolous statement. What is too many request for credit? What is too many opened accounts with us? I really dont understand these statements from Chase. To my knowledge I have one other opened credit card account and I have only ever applied two times. I for a fact know many friends, family and associates who have several Chase credit cards and dont have nearly as good a creditworthiness as me. On the letter Chase states that they included details about the credit bureau used to make the decision, yet didnt provide any credit bureau information instead they were marketing their own personal consumer reporting agency to me by the name of " Chase XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that it is a free tool that can help me. help me with what? I apply for an extension of credit and you discriminate against me and try to market a product to me. why would I sign up for something you want me to sign up for when you have not been fair or equitable to me? Chase never provided specific information as to why I the consumer am being denied under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act 15 U.S.C. 1691 ( d ) ( 3 ) as this was not a specific reason because they didn't tell me the specific number of accounts that were too many. The statement is very generalized and doesnt provide any clarity. I for a fact know that there is no valid or specific reason to why I am being treated less favorably than other applicants due to the fact that I did not find any rule or stipulation that states Chase Bank can deny my application due to " too many opened accounts '' especially when there is only one ( 1 ) other opened account. I also can't seem to understand how or why I would be treated this way as I am in fact the Original Creditor 15 U.S.C. 1602 ( g ) using my credit card 15 U.S.C. 1602 ( l ) to extend credit to Chase Bank in order to create an accepted credit card 15 U.S.C. 1602 ( m ). How can you deny me for something that doesn't belong to you and you didn't create? besides credit is a right granted 15 U.S.C. 1602 ( f ) not a privilege or benefit that Chase Bank gets to administer with no regard to federal law. This is a clear case of discrimination according to 15 U.S.C. 1691 ( a ) as I am not being considered as an applicant for exercising my rights under the consumer credit protection Act. This misconduct has caused me to be restricted in my everyday activities and being able to properly provide and take care of my family in this Hyper-inflationary period. This situation has also caused me to lose faith in Chase Banks ability as a financial institution and made me realize that no matter how dependent these financial institutions are on the American consumer they ultimately just use you for a transaction and throw you in the trash like waste, until they need us for bailouts. I write this in hope that my concerns are taken seriously, respected and addressed. I hope to amend our relationship and correct the previous mistakes and errors committed against me the consumer. Attached is the letter of denial received from Chase Bank and a letter that was sent demanding a reconsideration to the terms as they are unfavorable to me the consumer.
