On XX/XX/29 my fiance and myself went to Costco. He applied for a Costco anywhere card by Citi bank. As he was finishing up the application, the customer service representative asked if he wanted to make me an authorized user. We asked if this would mean I would have to apply for a card as well, which I did not want to apply for credit card. She said no and was annoyed that we had asked that question. So my fiance said yes, she asked me to enter the last four digits of my social security number and that would allow me to be an authorized user. She then give us a print out of the temporary card. The temporary card only had my fiance 's name on it, please see the attached file for this document. On XXXX XXXX, both of us received two separate credit cards to my horror. I never signed up for a credit card only to be an authorized user. My fiance called Citi bank and asked them to correct this as the card opened in my name and done so without my permission. However, they said they could only removed my as the authorized user. They said I have to contact the Credit bureau to correct the issue. My credit score has been reduced as a result of this unauthorized card being open in my name and it's was done so without my permission. This customer service representative open a credit card without my permission and I would my credit score be fixed and this card be removed. It was a fraudulent act by Costco.
