Under the Covid CARES act, all student loan payments made after XX/XX/XXXX on federally owned loans are refundable. During this time, I made payments on my federal loans to Aidvantage. I requested a {$10000.00} refund from Aidvantage on XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that the application had been submitted for refund, and that the process would take 4-8 weeks for the refunds to be sent back to me. I called Aidvantage again on XX/XX/XXXX, and was told that my refund had been submitted, but that there were no updates. I am not worried so much about when the physical money gets back to me, since that has to come from the Department of Education, but I was expecting the loan amounts to reinstate on the Aidvantage website by now since they legally have to refund the money to me. It feels as though Aidvantage is dragging their feet since there are no email confirmations that a refund application was submitted, and it takes over an hour to get a hold of a customer service agent.
