I am submitting this complaint on behalf of my mother. In XXXX of XXXX two separate companies, one based in XXXX XXXX, the other in XXXX, made fraudulent charges totaling in excess of {$8000.00} with my mother 's credit card. She is retired and lives in XXXX Texas. She has never been to, nor does she have any associates in either of these countries. She disputed the charges, filing a claim of fraud in XXXX of XXXX. However the credit card company disputes this claim and is arguing she ( my mother ) benefited from these charges. We requested proof of the benefits my mother received from these charges, however the credit card company has not provided any documentation toward said benefits. We are filing a police report regarding the fraudulent charges. The credit card company has stated they intend to turn the matter over to a collections lawyer for review if they do not receive payment ( including interest ) by XX/XX/XXXX.
