Unsubsidized FFEL Consolidation Loans I have been paying income-driven payments by an automatic deduction for years. At some point, the XXXX decided to change the way they do things unbeknownst to me and stopped my auto payment, thus defaulting me. When I figured I had to be close to payoff, I inquired so I could pay off any remaining balance cash I learned about the change and that there are no added fees. I never wanted to stop any payments, even when I was in school again or when the covid pandemic allowed for the temporary halt of payments. I should have been fully paid off by now.
