We vacated an apartment in XXXX, XXXX and were not in arrears of rent payments. I spoke with XXXX XXXX, property XXXX for XXXX on XXXX, on or about XX/XX/XXXX and was told the walk through was complete and that the unit actually looked better than when we had moved in. She also stated our account was paid in full and we would receive a full refund of our deposits. I also provided her with our forwarding address. Our phone numbers remain unchanged. We received and deposited the refund check dated XX/XX/XXXX into our account on XX/XX/XXXX. A copy is attached. At no time were we told of any amount unpaid nor given the opportunity to dispute said charges until we were sent to collections.
