On XX/XX/2022, I initiated a XXXX transfer of {$150.00} to my friend to her phone number and her full name XXXX XXXX ; but 5 days later my friend was asking about the XXXX payment ; then I realized I misspelled the last digit of her number as " XXXX '', ( the correct number is XXXX ), and the fund was sent to the owner of that number, even when the name of the recepient did not match my payee 's. I contacted CHASE but was told that they can try to recover the fund, but with no guarantee. I also contacted the actual recipient of the fund, who acknowledged the situations and agreed my bank 's future action for the recovery. I contacted CHASE a week after my initial dispute but did not hear any update but replied with the same statement : " We'll try, but no guarantee. '' I explained to CHASE this is a very obvious loophole for money laundering schemes, and CHASE shouldn't have sent the fund in the first place due to name and phone number mismatch, and they could not give me any answer.
