In XX/XX/2022 I completed a balance transfer with Citi to transfer funds to the account in the approximate amount of {$8400.00}. My account was set to auto pay, to pay the balance in full. On XX/XX/2022, approximately {$8400.00} was taken from my checking account bringing it in the negatives. This error was brought to my attention on XX/XX/2022. I called Citi on the XXXX, and the payment was reversed and returned to my checking. That same day, XX/XX/2022, I changed my autopay from pay statement balance to pay minimum payment and I received a confirmation on my screen. A day later, on or about XX/XX/2022, I checked to see if my minimum payment was scheduled to come out of my checking and if my Citi credit card balance was updated since I knew I had to make my credit card payment. When I checked my auto pay setting, it was erroneously set to pay statement balance even though I changed it the day prior. Again, I put it to pay minimum payment and received another confirmation. Note : I have to go through a confirmation to authorize the change. It is not toggling a button. Today, XX/XX/2022, Citi took approximately {$8400.00} from my checking account after they were not authorized to do so. I have notified them numerous times that this is not the payment arrangement I am seeking, and have changed this numerous times. I called Citi yet again demanding they reverse this as they were not authorized to do this. First, they said it was the same payment, which is not the case. Then, they said it will take time, which I know it can be done promptly as they did it the other day. Citi keeps on taking money from my account and they are unauthorized to do so. I have expressed my unauthorization on recorded lines multiple times and have changed my settings in their systems multiple times and they continue to violate laws.
