Haven't been able to login to my new CitiBank account for 2 months. XXXX XXXX notice XX/XX/XXXX that my account was frozen due to fraud and to call a number. Called the number XX/XX/XXXX and was instructed to verify a few things, including my phone number. They said my phone number was unverified and I was not able to verify my identity as a result, however they'd be in touch within 48 hours to get it fixed. Never heard back. Still unable to log into account, and my credit card bill is due, which CitiBank keeps emailing me about. Called CitiBank on XX/XX/XXXX to try and verify again, but the rep ended up hanging up on me when she realized she couldn't help me access my account due to my phone number not being verified. At this point I just want to pay my credit card bill and close my account, and it's impossible. The rep told me I'd just have to call back and try again, but that I'd get the same results. I'm concerned my credit will be affected. To top it all off, the reps were so incredibly rude and unhelpful and callous towards people whose money is unaccessible in CitiBank for no reason. They are clearly based in XXXX XXXX and have a clear script they must follow. They have no problem hanging up on you. I have no faith this will get fixed in any way but 3rd party intervention.
