I applied for the Cahse XXXX XXXX card on XX/XX/XXXX. Later that day I received a call I was unable to answer. The voicemail I listened to was distorted and I could not understand a word that the person was saying. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from Chase prompting me to call XXXX. I called an was prompted to enter the last XXXX digits of my social security number to confirm my identity. When I did this the recording then asked me to confirm I submitted an application for a credit card. I confirmed this and a recording told me they would need 14 days to make a decision. I have phone records with proof of this phone call I made on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX PST. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I called Chase to check on my application as it has been more than 14 days. I was informed there was no record of me calling and my application was closed on XX/XX/XXXX. I escalated this to a XXXX. When I spoke with the XXXX she informed me that they could try to re-open my application but they would have to do another hard pull on my credit. I do not think it is fair to pull my credit a second time for their negligence. I have also filed a complaint internally with Chase. At this time I have not allowed them to pull my credit a second time.
