On XXXX, I mobile deposited a check into my personal Chase checking account. The valid check was addressed with my name from my landlord for a security deposit return in the amount of {$3400.00}. Chase Bank has withdrawn the funds from the check makers bank account, but has not released them to me or returned them to the maker of the check. Additionally, Chase has entirely suspended all of my other unrelated funds associated with this account, a total of {$84.00}, and closed my account. Chase Bank is now refusing to issue the funds ( both the {$3400.00} and the {$84.00} ) to me. They also have refused to issue the check funds ( {$3400.00} ) back to the maker of the check. Due to the negligence of Chase Bank on this matter I am currently being held liable for these funds. In attempts to resolve this issue with Chase Bank, I have spent a total of 227 minutes on the phone with their customer service. I first reached out to them on XXXX for a total of 32 minutes on the phone and then visited their branch in XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to inquire as to why I could not access the funds. I was told the funds would be made available in 5-10 business days at the bank. My account was then suspended and the time had passed so I reached out again on XXXX to their customer service. I had 4 calls on XXXX ; XXXX 22 minutes, XXXX 1 hour and 43 minutes, XXXX 4 minutes, XXXX PM- 53 minutes all in an attempt to resolve the issue. No feasible resolution was offered. When the funds were deducted from my account on XXXX as " DEBIT DDA- CHECK CHARGE '' by Chase, I called again to inquire for a resolution for 6 minutes at XXXX and 7 minutes at XXXX. Through all of these communications no resolution for the release of these funds has been made.
