AES has absolutely been the worst company I have ever had to deal with ever. I started getting letters about them being my new student loan servicer. Never once did they say they were taking over servicing of my XXXX loans. As such I was confused when I started getting calls that my loans were past due since the CARES act was still in force and these should have been covered. I called AES to figure this out and was given the runaround by an agent and left more confused than satisfied. She never once told me that these were XXXX loans not subject to the act, she just kept saying they don't apply. I had to figure everything out on my own and once I got the loan current online. Then to my surprise today I got an alert from XXXX stating that my credit just took a huge dump because AES put 3 alerts on my report that my loans were over 30 days past due. I called again and asked what the deal was. The agent claimed that the reporting took place at the end of XXXX and he's not sure why I just got an alert today and why there were 3 separate past due reports. Ridiculous. XXXX never once reported negative information. In this day and age with such a low dollar loan it is flabbergasting that a company with a brand new relationship with me would go out of their way to report negative information to the bureaus. Especially after the unfair and deceptive calls I had with them and letters I received. AES should be put out of business.
