Consumer Narrative
Between XXXX XXXX 3 fraudulent checks were deposited into a joint account with my son for just under {$15000.00} by a person who claim to hire my son. The funds were removed from the account via cash payment apps ( These are traceable transactions ). My son called the to report the fraudulent active and a dispute was filed. When he called back to check on the status of the dispute he was told that the bank would NOT help with filing the dispute and that my son would be responsible. The bank would not take any information from my son regarding the perpetrator. My sons small paychecks have always had a hold placed on them but somehow 3 fraudulent checks of {$5000.00} each were made available for immediate withdraw. This leads me to believe that this fraud was committed by someone working for the bank. This guy also showed my son 3 other peoples USAA accounts that he has done business with. I have attached the photo provided by the fraudster of the other USAA accounts.
