Consumer Narrative
On Thursday XX/XX/2022, I contacted Chase Auto to notify them of a late payment due to updating payroll software. The customer service representative allowed me to set up an automatic payment for XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/2022, I received a notification from XXXX regarding a change in my credit score. Chase had reported my account as 30 day past due. I called Chase on XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about the negative report and how it impacted my credit score. I was told that if my payroll was direct deposit to Chase bank that they could remove the negative mark, but by me not having the account with Chase there was nothing that they could do to help me. I was told to contact XXXX for help. I call XXXX on XX/XX/2022, and was told that they were just the reporting agency and they report what the lender sends to them. The customer service representative at XXXX told me to contact Chase again and ask for a supervisor and make them aware of the situation and ask how I can resolve the negative mark. The XXXX CSR also gave my the CFPB, gov website for help. I contact Chase again and spoke with CSR Supervisor # XXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX and was told that there was nothing she could do because the payment was set up to be withdraw after 30 days. I asked if I could pay today and have the negative mark removed from my credit report and she said no because i would still be pass the 30 days due. I asked why did the CSR not notify me of that when I set up the payment and she did not say a word. I have been with Chase for 4 years and I have never been outside of my grace period with a payment. The very first time I have a problem outside of my control and I call in to notify them of the situation, they disregard my concern and efforts to maintain good standing with the company and ruin my credit score. This is not fair to the customer and I want the mark removed from my credit report. This report was a negative impact on my credit report dropping my credit score XXXX.
