In XX/XX/XXXX which I believe started in XX/XX/XXXX Citi Bank was offering a new account promotion bonus online that expired in XX/XX/XXXX. The amount of the promotional XXXX, XXXX or {$1500.00} according to the amount of deposit. I open the require account on about the XX/XX/XXXX and deposit the required amount on the XX/XX/XXXX in order to qualify for the promotional bonus of $ XXXX.I initiated a call the next few days to confirm that I would qualify for the promotion, and I was told that yes, I was told at that time that after a 21day of the deposit and after 60 days of the require balance remain in my account they would deposit the {$1500.00} in my account. I have met all the requirements to qualify and have spoken to them several times about the date my funds would be deposited. My daughter and I drove XXXX miles to the XXXX XXXX and back to prove my identity so they could correct my social number. I ask again while we were there about the promotion bonus and were told it would be paid in XXXX the XXXX by the cashier. I called Citi on XXXX the XXXX and was told now it would be 21 more days and everything was in order for the amount to be deposited in my account. Now later that afternoon I receive a message from Citi telling me there was no such promotion. So basically, they have kept my funds for over 6 months and now after telling me my promotion bonus would be deposited, they never had this promotion. I was also told that I would receive a complete package with all the information and was never sent.
