I made a complaint to the gift card agency over 4 moths ago and they stated it would take them 30-120 days to trace {$75.00} that was taken from the XXXX gift card from ( XXXX ) that wasn't authorized. Initially, I ordered a food purchase for {$25.00} after loading the gift card with {$100.00}. Immediately after I used the card for that purchase only and then within 15 minutes after making the purchase, the card was depleted of its full value. I called the gift card company and made a complaint and they immediately suspended the card and sent a new card. They fail to provide updates, they are rude every time I try and call for updates and they never can state why its taking so long. The only answer I get from them is that they are waiting on the company to respond. I filed a complaint with CFPB two months ago and still nothing has happened no updates no anything. Unfortunately they have caused more of a financial strain as it was to be used for a bill and that caused a trickle down effect to where my family and I are still trying to recover. It is my feeling that this gift card company is trying to keep the funds by delaying my refund via the gift card or check since its past the 120 day mark and they fail to send updates or anything. Calling them only begets them being rude about funds that are not theirs but is mine. I am begging for assistance in this matter because this company is showing they are committed to keeping my funds for an unauthorized transaction.
